| UGGGGGGG...have you ever had "one of those days"? Where it seems that everything goes right but wrong at the same time? Well, today was one of those days for me...first I slept through my alarm, I must have woke up when it went off at 0411 this morning and instead of hitting snooze I must have turned it completely off...and fell back asleep...at 0455 my roommate woke me up and was like "HOLY !@#$, it 0455 AND WE HAVE TO BE OUTSIDE FOR FORMATION AT 0510!!!!!!!!!" At that time i FLY out of bed, get my uniform put on, bed made, room cleaned up, brush teeth, and walk out the door...all in 5 minutes...that is a new world record for me getting ready... Anyway, school went fine...a pretty laid back day where all I really did was take notes...a lot of notes...as usual...well, my instructor got done in the morning and I ended up having the afternoon to get most of my out-processing. So, I went to the library, the Uhaul place, the dental clinic, the medical center, the Air National Guard liaison, the Student Proccessing Personnel Center, and TMO(Traffic Management Office), all of the above was spread out all over the base....Well, my last one was TMO, which was a briefing not just sign the sheet off and go...the briefing lasted for about an hour in this hot, over crowded, room, I was luck enough to get there last and have a seat in a chair...well the only one I guess...right next to the wall...well after the briefing i stood up, gathered my bag and my coat and preceded to walk forward, not knowing that the hem on the shoulder of my shirt was caught on this picture(much like one of those have inspirational words like courage or attitude), well I started to walk forward and herd the CRASH!!!!!!! I, with a REALLY confused look on my face, turned around and much to my surprise there was this huge pile of glass on the floor and everyone was staring at me. Let me tell you that was one of the most awkward feeling i have ever had, because I didn't exactly know what was going on or what to do... After about a minute I realized what had happened, and by that time this Staff Sergeant came over and asked "who knocked that off the wall?" and I was like "I guess I did, It must have gotten caught on my shirt." Well this sergeant ended up saying, "go find a broom, dust pan, and vacuum cleaner to clean it up." So after a frantic search through the building I was in I finally found the equipment I need, I reported back to that room and preceded to clean up the mess, there was glass everywhere. That was 4:30 PM. I stayed and swept the mess up and returned all the equipment, by the time i left it was 5:30PM and everyone was released to their rooms and starting their evening....By the time I got back to my dorm, got changed into my civilian clothes, and made a few phone calls, i asked someone if we had been released for the evening(this was about 5:45 PM) and he gave me a stupid look and was like, (in a really smart !@# tone) "Yea, we have been for like an hour now, are you kidding" and I was "Oh, cool, ok..." Well, that was pretty much it, the evening's not over yet, but up till now that has been my day... It was just one of those days where everything was good and bad at the same time....just one of those really weird days...kinda like a dream but its real....Weird...
Well, I cant wait till the weekend! Might go to New Orleans if someone can rent a car...we'll see...3 day weekend for me! I really love these Down Fridays...
Well, I hope everyone has a good day!
